Most Popular: Italian Fry Bread: Shockingly Delicious

After a great reveal day for Group A, it's time to reveal the "Most Popular" recipe. This recipe was chosen by YOU the readers. YOU loved it and now I'm sharing it! Our most viewed recipe was Italian Fry Bread from Dorothy of Shockingly Delicious.

Dorothy had this to say about the recipe...

Most Viewed Recipe of the Week | Italian Fry Bread from Shockingly Delicious #recipe #SecretRecipeClub #quickbread #bread

"Garlic Bread is always welcome to sop up the sauce with this main dish, but that’s old hat. I needed a new idea, and I found it in the form of Indian Fry Bread. It’s a simple, flat, biscuit-like dough quickly fried in a skillet. A typical fry bread has flour, baking powder, salt and water, and it is fried in oil, shortening or lard. But what if I added Italian seasonings and herbs to that simple dough, and fried it quickly in olive oil?"

Stay tuned for Group B's reveal day coming next Monday, February 8th!

Salisbury Steak Meatballs: Thyme for Cooking

Today's featured recipe comes from Group A blogger, Katie of Thyme for Cooking, who made Salisbury Steak Meatballs from her assigned blog, Things I Make (for Dinner). I absolutely love all the reveal days because the SRC members are so good at picking seasonal foods. These meatballs look like the perfect stick-to-your-ribs comfort food needed when it's cold outside!

Katie had this to say about her recipe:

Sunday Gravy with Braciole: Bewitching Kitchen

Today's featured recipe comes from Group A blogger, Sally of Bewitching Kitchen, who made Sunday Gravy with Braciole from her assigned blog, Sid's Sea Palm Cooking. *sniffle* Sally was a Group D member for 4+ years and recently made the switch to Group A with her rival, Dorothy. I do miss having them in my group already, but I still enjoy seeing their posts!

Sally had this to say about her recipe:

"I had quite a few recipes selected as possibilities for this assignment like her Yorkshire puddings, her Sweet Potato Samosas, her Sweet and Sour Chicken Meatballs, her elegant Leek Pancakes, but ended up settling for the Sunday Gravy with Braciole because it seemed perfect for the weather: luscious, filling, very complex flavors.  Of course, brown food is not very camera-friendly, but it is fantastic for the taste buds. So there!"
